I'd sent an email out at the beginning of december telling my other music geeks what my favourite albums were. some of them responded with there faves, some of them told me that they were going to have to listen to them because id recommended them, i take that as a compliment.
one comment stayed pretty strong, and that one was directed to my inclusion of Paris Hilton's debut record, "paris".
I understand that the singles that had been released suck.

(actually the main single was a utter rip off of Lord Creator's "Kingston Town'..but this has been blogged about to death-[except for most ppl refer to UB40's cover of Lord Creator])

so, to backtrack, yes, I'm VERY aware that Paris Hilton is not a nice person..and that the album is a total, and complete Product.
BUT
it doesn't stop the fact that there are some amazing songs on 'Paris'
"nothing in this world"
"screwed'
and "not leaving without you" are three of the best songs i've heard in years.
